Join us for a special screening of Sequoias of the Sea with the Orange County Marine Protected Area Council (OCMPAC) and appreciate the giants that tower just below the surface.
Sequoias of the Sea
The story of the environmental, cultural and economic destruction impacting a coastal town that has lost its coastal kelp forest. It's a deep dive into the lives of fishermen, tribes, scientists, and a community working to restore a habitat devastated by a warming climate.
The Orange County Marine Protected Area Council (OCMPAC) is the state’s oldest Marine Protected Area (MPA) Collaborative, started in 1999. OCMPAC is a collaboration of city and county officials, institutional representatives, environmental advocates, academic faculty, and nonprofit organization members.
